- Interesting reading: The history of flower making in Germany. A fascinating text on the development of flower making from its start in the Middel Ages till now. You can read it in German or in English.
- ONLINE TUTORIALS ARE HERE!!! We are very excited to now be offering online streaming tutorials - tutorials you can watch from the comfort of your own home ! They are short and only cost a fraction of a complete workshop. Get your skills up in no-time !!! No need to travel and at a time that is convenient to you. Once you have ordered you will be able to watch the tutorial for a week. Go to our online tutorials page to read more on which tutorials we have on offer and to watch a sample.

Check out how you can upgrade your skills as a milliner or if you
are a beginner how you can learn the exciting art of millinery in your
area.
- There are also hat exhibitions happening regularly in Australia and
around the Globe. For example
Cairns and Hong Kong.
- If you are looking for things to do yourself without doing a class
or workshop than stay focused on our new DIY
page.
- New: we have started with listing
profiles of budding milliners, often former students of Waltraud.
Our first profile is from Jaycow,
the first and only milliner in Hong Kong. Get inspired by reading other
peoples motivations and their journey into the art of millinery.
- Also new is we are now offering
patterns for sale. Start by making your own Cabbage Rose by
downloading the pattern. For a
limited time to launch this page we are offering the Cabbage Rose
pattern for free.
April 2008
- 20 new hoods have been added. Make a choice out of our large range in varying colours and material.
- Torb and Reiner goes into the next media: VIDEO! We have posted an introduction on you tube and on our sit here. The response is phenominal! People are very excited about it and are eager to view more.
So stay tuned for more news on new video clips.
- Also coming soon are online tutorials on video. You will be able to buy online streaming tutorials you can watch for a month by buying a
subscription or by buying each one individually. A great way to get your skills up! Also Waltraud will be offering a complete course in millinery
that gets you to a level where you can apply for a TAFE certificate. This will also be offered by online tutorials for a very affordable
price. We expect to have this up and running in the third week of April. If you are interested in learning more and expanding your skills, please
let us know and we might make a tutorial for you!!
- FOR SALE!! We regularly have single items that we would like
to offer you so we have extended our tabs at the top to include a tab
for sales. Take a look at what we have
on offer and remember once it is gone it won’t come back.

- Wondering how to make a fascinator yourself or a base for a
fascinator? Now you can. Make a 20/20
fascinator base or a stunning

- If you have never been to the Forum on millinery,
check it out now. It is a great resource
and provides a platform for people interested in millinery to exchange
ideas, get answers, give and/or find support. Your queries will be
answered by Waltraud Reiner, top milliner from Melbourne or others on
the forum.

- NEW WORKSHOPS !!! We have just scheduled the new
workshops for this year. There are plenty to choose from: crinoline
headpieces, flower making, feathers, hat trimmings, you name it we got
it! Take a look at what we have to offer and choose a workshop by title
or by date: workshops.
Please note that not all details are available yet for every workshop
but will be updated shortly. If you like to be informed of upcoming

- Sometimes even we drop a few stitches !! Although
we have been selling black sinamay for a while, it was not listed on our
site. You can find it in our extensive
sinamay page. It comes in stiffened and unstiffened versions.

- Vintage and
modern Petersham and Grossgrain are now for sale in large varieties
and sizes.
- Please note that due to our Christmas break all
orders placed between 20 December and 13 January will be shipped on 14
January.
- You can now also buy
individual flower making tools.
Some have different sizes than the tools in the set.
- We have created a page that lists all you need for
making your own beautiful French flowers.

come out. Read an excellent article on Waltraud Reiner and hat making on

- Do check our
schedule regularly to find
new courses that are added. For example we now have an
Exciting Millinery course which
runs over four weeks starting in April and held here at the T&R studio.

- We are very occupied with organising the Hat Extravaganza while Waltraud is touring Queensland with the Blue Hat Project van lecturing hat making and informing people about the Blue Hat Poject. We have just had confirmation that honorable Jeff Kennett is going to launch Hat Week and open the Hat Extravaganza !!!

History of millinery now has it's own tab
and so do links and
testimonials. There
is also a new tab for a site map, so if you get confused and can't find
your way around go to the site map.

type of brims and lots more. Simply go to the
