- We are very excited to announce our new design for our web site. If you are a returning customer you will have already noticed the new design. The navigation has been improved so it is now easier to get to where you want to. There are a few changes still to be made but they won’t affect usability. We hope you like our new site. If you have any suggestions or comments, please contact us. After all we are her to serve you.
- You might have noticed a new button directing to corporate workshops. We currently do not have much content for this area, but this will change as we will get moer feedback, images and listings of corporate workshops. As the name suggest these are workshops tailored for businesses. So if you have a business and would like us to run a workshops for you and your colleagues, please contact us.

- Many items are no longer for sale online but have to be purchased directly from our studio in Murrumbeena. The supplies page will clearly state which items are for sale online and which are not. We are sorry we can no longer offer all of the products online.
- NEW: we now have leather for sale. Large number of bundles in varying colours priced from AUD $30 to AUD $120.

- Sturt Summer School is here once again!! You can now sign up for this five day intensive and turn yourself (inside and) out to be an expert milliner by the end of the workshop.

- New products have arrived: new colours of jinsin, new braids, fruit to decorate your hat or use for decorations in your home, butterflies.
- New workshops are up: Get in early and book one of the Rockhampton workshops held in April 2009. In February Waltraud is running a workshop with the Victorian Feltmakers group, and there is a trip overseas planned in October to Germany.

- New TUTORIALS are now available: Make a head piece using crinoline, make a head piece using crinoline and jinsin and make a hat piece using crinoline and feathers. The turorials are available as a stand-alone tutorial which you can view online or as a package which includes the tutorial as well as all the material to make the hat. You can also purchase just the material as a package.
- We have added a "my cart" button to every page at the top making it easier for you to go to your shopping cart.
- All photos of the Melbourne Fashion Week are now available for you to view here.

- New FAQ page: we have added a few buttons to the top of the page including a FAQ page. Also some pages have changed lay-out to make it easier to navigate.

- TWO MORE TUTORIALS !!! - We have created two more tutorials for you to watch online: Hatiquette - All about how to wear a hat (also available on DVD) and Sculpting with Sinamay - How to make a stunning hat without the use of a hat block or any other special tools.
- Also new: FREE samples of tutorials and introductions. You can now watch samples of the online tutorials as well as the introductions to the online tutorials.
- New stock of pleated crioline has arrived. Vibrant new colours: white, black, cream, red, burgundy, yellow, orange, grey ,navy.
- September will be an exciting month for everyone interested in fashion as Melbourne will host its annual Fasion Week. Torb and Reiner will host several workshops like last year including a millinery market. Write the dates in your diary now as this event is one not to be missed!!
- Two more millinery courses are now available, both running for four weeks starting in July. Choose between Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- New sinamay has arrived. We now also offer B-grade sinamay which has a looser weave.

- Interesting reading: The history of flower making in Germany. A fascinating text on the development of flower making from its start in the Middel Ages till now. You can read it in German or in English.
- ONLINE TUTORIALS ARE HERE!!! We are very excited to now be offering online streaming tutorials - tutorials you can watch from the comfort of your own home ! They are short and only cost a fraction of a complete workshop. Get your skills up in no-time !!! No need to travel and at a time that is convenient to you. Once you have ordered you will be able to watch the tutorial for a week. Go to our online tutorials page to read more on which tutorials we have on offer and to watch a sample.

- New: we have started with listing profiles of budding milliners, often former students of Waltraud. Our first profile is from Jaycow, the first and only milliner in Hong Kong. Get inspired by reading other peoples motivations and their journey into the art of millinery.
- Also new is we are now offering patterns for sale. Start by making your own Cabbage Rose by downloading the pattern. For a limited time to launch this page we are offering the Cabbage Rose pattern for free.

- 20 new hoods have been added. Make a choice out of our large range in varying colours and material.
- Torb and Reiner goes into the next media: VIDEO! We have posted an introduction on you tube and on our sit here. The response is phenominal! People are very excited about it and are eager to view more. So stay tuned for more news on new video clips.
- Also coming soon are online tutorials on video. You will be able to buy online streaming tutorials you can watch for a month by buying a subscription or by buying each one individually. A great way to get your skills up! Also Waltraud will be offering a complete course in millinery that gets you to a level where you can apply for a TAFE certificate. This will also be offered by online tutorials for a very affordable price. We expect to have this up and running in the third week of April. If you are interested in learning more and expanding your skills, please let us know and we might make a tutorial for you!!
- FOR SALE!! We regularly have single items that we would like to offer you so we have extended our tabs at the top to include a tab for sales. Take a look at what we have on offer and remember once it is gone it won’t come back. Grab your bargain now.

- If you have never been to the Forum on millinery, check it out now. It is a great resource and provides a platform for people interested in millinery to exchange ideas, get answers, give and/or find support. Your queries will be answered by Waltraud Reiner, top milliner from Melbourne or others on the forum.

- NEW WORKSHOPS !!! We have just scheduled the new workshops for this year. There are plenty to choose from: crinoline headpieces, flower making, feathers, hat trimmings, you name it we got it! Take a look at what we have to offer and choose a workshop by title or by date: workshops. Please note that not all details are available yet for every workshop but will be updated shortly. If you like to be informed of upcoming workshops please sign up to our newsletter.
- Sometimes even we drop a few stitches !! Although we have been selling black sinamay for a while, it was not listed on our site. You can find it in our extensive sinamay page. It comes in stiffened and unstiffened versions.

- We are very occupied with organising the Hat Extravaganza while Waltraud is touring Queensland with the Blue Hat Project van lecturing hat making and informing people about the Blue Hat Poject. We have just had confirmation that honorable Jeff Kennett is going to launch Hat Week and open the Hat Extravaganza !!!

- New tabs added to navigation. History of millinery now has it's own tab and so do links and testimonials. There is also a new tab for a site map, so if you get confused and can't find your way around go to the site map.
