Linen buntal is also called 'tinalak' by its traditional weavers, the Tiboli people of the Philippines. A thick abaca straw woven like linen, it is excellent for free-shaping because its texture is malleable and wonderfully forgiving. It looks beautiful in combination with sinamay in blocking or free-shaping.
This is a material which is very new to Australian millinery. It has a huge amount of potential for creating a new look in hats. Try something new!
