Hats for everyone - Sturt Summer School, Mittagong

Skill level: No experience necessary.

Make new hats, rework old hats.
Learn how hats should look, feel and stay on your head.
Make a classical hat from straw or felt, a race hat, a simple sunhat or try out wondrous creations till the soul dances.
Everyone will be accommodated from beginners to the professional.
At this workshop you will work with a range of materials, such as Sinamay, Jinsin and straw cloth, to make a hat that best suits the shape of your face. This workshop is ideal for the absolute beginner or those wishing to work more creatively with millinery materials.

Course Outcome

Get in touch with your heart & soul on a creative level. Let your hands do what they want.
Work more with feelings & less with thinking. Learn how to make, fit & suit a hat to each individual person.
