Crinoline is a synthetic material which comes in a variety of widths and colours. It is extremely versatile as it can be melted, stitched, shredded and spray painted.
Bette has been working with crinoline for years and will share some of her experiences with you in a short presentation. You will then make a race day fascinator following Bette's step by step guidance.
What you will learn:
- What crinoline is made from
- The different application crinoline is used for
- Which crinoline to use; tubular, pleated or plain
- How to add crinoline to a fascinator base
- How to sew crinoline by hand and machine
- Gluing and ironing tricks
- Techniques, techniques and more techniques
What you will make: A race day fascinator
