History of Torb and Reiner
In 1990 Torb and Reiner opened its doors as a made-to-measure shop in Melbourne. The millinery business, formerly owned by milliner Magda Urban, changed direction away from made-to-measure and towards millinery education. Students’ needs for millinery materials provided the impetus in 2000 for the addition of what has developed into Australia’s foremost millinery supplies resource.
Since producing their first teaching video in 2004, Torb and Reiner have added two more. Always keeping up with the times, the company has gone on to launch a few online video tutorials as well.
Although extensive travel worldwide has broadened the Company’s reputation, Waltraud has always sought more meaningful ways to make her work beneficial to others.
With particular sensitivity to people in remote areas, in 2008 Torb and Reiner set up a virtual classroom which allows people to learn any time and wherever they are.
The Company prides itself on its commitment to millinery offering help and expertise when asked.
Waltraud Reiner the founder of the company is a passionate and entertaining public speaker, who captivates her audiences.
