Millinery material: Sinamay

Sinamay is made from the Abaca tree, handwoven and bleached.

Our sinamay is of the finest English quality and is even and tightly woven.

We import our natural Sinamay and then dye them in a unique variety of colours.
Every dye run we do is done in order to follow fashion and to cater for the needs of our client.
We dye Sinamay every 2 weeks.
If you are in need of a specific colour we will take that into consideration.
We do NOT dye uni-coloured sinamay pieces. All our Sinamay is dyed in shadings of colour.

Our Sinamay is unstiffened in order to use it for the free form sculpted Sinamay hats
except for a few varieties mentioned below.

Cobweb sinamay:

Cobweb sinamay has no bias as such as it is not a woven fabric but a pressed one.
Cobweb can not be treated in blocking as any other materilas as it will fall apart if you pull to hard.
Nevertheless, if handled right the outcome is truly beautiful.
