Millinery material: Sinamay
Sinamay is made from the Abaca tree, handwoven and bleached. You can learn how Sinamay is made here.
Our sinamay is of the finest English quality and is even and
tightly woven.
For people who would like a less finer quality and who would like to spend less we also offer the B-grade quality sinamay. We import our natural Sinamay and then dye them in a unique variety of colours.
Every dye run we do is done in order to follow fashion and to cater for the needs of our client.
We dye Sinamay every 2 weeks.
If you are in need of a specific colour we will take that into consideration.
We do NOT dye uni-coloured sinamay pieces. All our Sinamay is dyed in shadings of colour. However we do supply uni coloured B-grade sinamay which is not dyed by us.
Our Sinamay is unstiffened in order to use it for the free form sculpted Sinamay hats except
for a few varieties mentioned below.
If you would like to learn how to use Sinamay in making your own hat
then take a look at
our Video or DVD or our online tutorial or our complete package that includes DVD/Video and material.
