Chenille is used to make the little spots on veiling. It has a thin wire inside which makes it easy to twist onto any veiling you like.
Sometimes Chenille is substituted for pipe cleaners which is NOT a good look. One sure can spot the difference.
Chenille is very inexpensive to buy, and can change a very cheap looking veiling into a very expensive one.
Only 1cm is needed to make 1 spot.
It is available in many colours which means one can have a multi-coloured piece of veil on a hat if wanted.
You also get to choose exactly where to put the spots.
Pipe cleaners are great for arms and legs when making dolls in primary school. Leave them there!
Hint: for a larger spot double the chenille. It is easy to attach as it contains a fine wire. Just cut and bend it over the
weave in the veil.
